October 5 - International Teacher's Day
On October 5, 2017, the Gubadli District Executive Authority hosted an event on the occasion of International Teacher's Day in Sumgait, May 28. Head of Gubadli District Executive Power Malik Isakov, heads of managements, enterprises and organizations of the district, teachers of the district schools and public figures attended the event.
After announcing the event, head of district education department FuadBadalov made a report. The speaker noted that the decision to mark October 5 as the International Day of Teachers was first issued by UNESCO on October 5, 1966. Teacher's Day in Azerbaijan has been celebrated since 1993. Today, this date is celebrated as Teacher's Day in more than 100 countries around the world.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Malik Isakov, Head of the Gubadli District Executive Power, welcomed the event participants and congratulated all teachers on the holiday day and noted that today, as in the whole world, multinational education is a dear day for teachers - the teachers celebrate their professional holiday . The evolutionary path that mankind has over the millennium proves that the progress of society at every historical stage depends directly on the development of education. The teacher was always the best assistant in gaining new knowledge. The great leader, HeydarAliyev, always praised the work of the teacher: "I do not know a teacher from the world on behalf of the teacher." Today, our leader, IlhamAliyev, highly appraises the teachers' work and cares about them.
Then, Mr. Malik Isakov- The Head of the District Executive Authority, congratulated the director of the Gazian village secondary school ImanovaYegana on the "Progress Medal" and the teacher of the Farcan village secondary school AsadovAdalet on the occasion of the title "Honorary Teacher" and wished teachers successes.
A group of teachers, who distinguished themselves during the event, was awarded with honorary decrees of the District Executive Power.
The event was continued with a concert program prepared by the Culture and Tourism Department of the region.
